The theatrical show that freely aspired to “L’Orfeo” by Monteverdi and “Lei dunque capirā” by Claudio Magris was created thanks to a cultural interchange between Archabout and the set design course of Prof. Tomas Muņoz of ESAYA - Escuela Superior de Arte y Arquitectura, Universidad Europea de Madrid, for the conception, construction and collective staging of a theatrical show in the evocative environments of the Rampa Prenestina in Rome.
The Rampa Prenestina is a cylindrical building that is seven floors high, directed by a helicoidal ramp inside, a reinforced concrete tower originally intended to hold all the sets from Cinecittā, which was then occupied by the capital’s homeless and is currently home to volunteer, artistic and solidarity associations. Its architectural, circular and spiral character that recalls examples, such as the Tower of Babel, the Dante-style circles, the well of S. Patrizio and its metropolitan graffiti presents on the inner walls have been precious ideas for the construction of an immersive and involving show that is absolutely unique of the Teatro dei Luoghi”.
The project was created by the group Archirampanti, in partnership with the laboratory L@birinti con_temporanei, Nu@nce.
