prof. Andrea Moneta
Scientific and formative goals Through
contemporary scenography many different artistic conceptions are involved;
these experiences comes from different disciplines but are all bound
together in a constant inner relationship: from the history of theater, of
movie, of visual arts, to light design, sound design, stage design,
including latest digital applied technologies. We
intend the Scene design as a performative, spatial and sensorial
multidiscipline complex
system. Our
didactyc proposal is based upon deep communicative and relativeness
theater’s values, realized through the site-actor-audience relationships;
the aim is to integrate traditional Scenography and its “closed” space
of conventional theaters, but also to explore the “theater outside
theater”, because we think that scenography, within the faculty of
architecture, could become a way to analize, describe and to design urban
territory. The
Course also try to overcome standardized modalities about the use and
perception of the performance. To do this it investigates the contemporary theater scene, not built anymore upon a descriptive, narrative, naturalistic representation of the world but, instead, towards territories beyond theater; in this way it's possible to raise up a complete formative experience that could recover the contemporary theater's values. The aim is to find values also beyond theater, exploring also its extreme dimension of Virtual Reality.
